There are some rifts inside Pakistan women's team and reports have surfaced regarding players not getting along well. The incumbent chief selector Urooj Mumtaz chaired a meeting, with the presence of PCB's chief executive Wasim Khan, where the issues were discussed at length.

According to ARYSports, Wasim Khan reportedly said that the pay increase and increments will be halted as the performance is not up to the mark. Some players have expressed their dissatisfaction with incumbent captain Javeria Khan and ace all-rounder Nida Dar highlighted her grievances in the meeting.

“Captain is not happy with players’ performance. I scored fifty during an ODI against South Africa where she told players not to applaud for me,” Nida said.

“Seems like there is grouping in the team where captain only talks to few players,” wicketkeeper Sidra Nawaz said.

Javeria shared her challenges in the way of keeping a well-knit unit that is only focused on cricket. The tensions between two seasoned campaigners Javeria and Nida Dar are affecting the team's morale and doesn't bode well for the women's team.

Urooj Khan mediated the meeting and asked players to play as a team. In the last assignment of Pakistan's women team against West Indies, which comprised three T20Is and five ODIs, Pakistan lost all T20Is and were outsmarted in the ODI series by 3-2.
