Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Ramiz Raja and Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry on Thursday shared their ideas with regard to launching a new sports channel in the country.

Both individuals exchanged their views in a meeting held at the Federal Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, according to the official statement released by the ministry.

After assuming the PCB office, Ramiz clearly stated his goals with regards to the betterment of cricket in Pakistan and restore its former glory.

The PCB chairman said he would focus on ensuring the board's policies remained consistent, adding that he would also ensure club cricket, new talent, coaching and the national cricket team's performance improved.

The 59-year-old also promised a big improvement in the quality of pitches in domestic cricket, asserting that bowlers have to work hard to get wickets and batsmen are given conditions where they can make big scores.
