Superb death bowling by England paceman Chris Jordan helped Southern Brave beath London Spirits by four runs at Lord's.

Spirits remain winless in the tournament. They were close to the victory after Adam Rossington's blazing 45 off 21 balls and Josh Inglis' 55 off 43 but super late bowling by Spirits turned the game around. Jordan finished 2-32 and was brilliantly supported by Tymal Mills (1-15) as Brave registered their second win.

Batting first, Alex Davies' half-century powered Brave to 145. He smacked five fours in his innings and then took two crucial catches in the field to dismiss Ravi Bopara and Mohammad Nabi.

Spirits started things very fiery as the opening duo of Rossington and Inglis raced them to 68-0 after 25 balls in the powerplay. They seemed pretty good on track when needed 31 off 30 balls with six wickets in hand.

Then Jordan and Mills came into the attack and bowled some amazing death overs to secure a pulsating win.

The Spirit were without their coach, Shane Warne, who tested positive for Covid-19, and now sit at the bottom of the table.
