Islamabad United registered another convincing win against Karachi Kings. United hurtled to 191 target with eight balls to spare. The solid 150 run-stand between Colin Munro and Iftikhar Ahmed sealed the game for United as they tighten their grip on top position at the points table.

"When I went out in the middle, my and Babar (Azam) plan was to play first five-six overs by playing down the ground and wait for the loose ball and as our partnership started to grow, then we were aiming to get 10-12 runs per over," said Najibullah Zadran.

Najeeb felt 190 was a par total on the wicket and he expected a better performance from the bowlers. He also rued the costly fielding lapses and clangers that took the game away from Karachi Kings.

"190 was a good total on this wicket but catch drops were the biggest mistake. If you drop a catch of a big player on these wickets then no matter how big the total is, they will make it chase-able," he added.

The dew has been affecting night games but Najeeb felt 190 looked an impregnable score but it didn't prove that way.

"The ball was getting wet and there was a lot of dew but 190 was a big total on this track so I would say that the entire momentum went the other way after the catch drops," said Najibullah Zadran

Despite the loss, Najeeb is confident that Karachi Kings will manage to win at least two out of three remaining matches. The Afghan 28-year-old southpaw is relishing the opportunity to play in the PSL.

"We have three more matches, (God willingly) we will try to win two matches and qualify for the next stage. My experience has been really good. I am playing first time for Karachi Kings and I am enjoying it," he concluded.
