Pakistan's all-format captain Babar Azam and opening batsman Imam ul Haq failed to participate in any match during the tour to New Zealand after fracturing their thumbs during practice sessions.

According to the latest reports, both Azam and Imam have recovered from their respective injuries and are back in the nets.

Babar confirmed during the recently concluded PSL Draft that has overcome his injury and he's ready to start practicing with the leather ball.

He also stated that he was gearing up for the home series against South Africa that starts in late January.

Apart from Imam and Babar, pace bowling allrounder Hasan Ali is also among favorites to return back to the National setup after a magnificent QEA Trophy season for Central Punjab.
