Right arm paceman Ali Khan from the United States of America (USA) enjoyed a great outing with the Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) in the recently concluded Caribbean Premier League (CPL) as they clinched the title without losing a single game.

The fast bowler has now been picked by the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) franchise and he has replaced the English pacer Harry Gurney who opted out of the tournament because of his shoulder injury. Ali Khan is set to become the first Pakistan-born American cricketer to feature in the IPL.

“Welcome to the #KKRfamily @IamAlikhan23! Enjoy @IPL & the experience. Tough luck @gurneyhf. Get well soon. You will be missed,” Knight Riders chief executive Venky Mysore wrote on Twitter.

Khan was also picked by the Karachi Kings in the recently held PSL-V and he was first spotted by Dwayne Bravo during in the Global T20 League in Canada. He was then brought to the TKR family to participate in the CPL and now he’s part of the most lucrative T20 league in the world.
