Comparisons between Babar Azam and Virat Kohli have been doing rounds on social media ever since the limited-overs captain of Pakistan has started scoring runs consistently for Pakistan.

Former Windies pacer Ian Bishop has made an interesting statement about the Indo-Pak batting duo as he stated that both of these batters are very much like the former Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar in terms of their batting style.

“Virat Kohli, Babar Azam, who in terms of the straight lines, you remember Sachin Tendulkar. There's a reason why I think he [Tendulkar] was the best batsman I bowled to as he always played in the straight lines and these two guys (Kohli and Azam) present that.” said Bishop.

When Babar was asked about his comparison with the Indian skipper, he categorically rejected it and stated that Virat is way ahead of him.

“He’s one of the best players. I’m still behind him. I’ll try to be as good as him and win matches for my country.” said Azam.
