Pakistan’s young pace sensation Naseem Shah has described the ‘Duke’ balls used in England as very much bowler-friendly. The 17-year old pacer feels that the Duke balls do what you want them to do as a fast bowler.

“The Duke Ball is [bowler] friendly. At times, the Duke Ball does what you say,” he said.

Shah was having a chat with the senior paceman Mohammad Abbas after practicing with the Duke Balls in a two-day intra-squad match.

He also added that the Kookaburra balls that are used in Pakistan are harder to shine and they lose their shape pretty quickly. On the other hand, Duke Balls remain fresh for a while which is good pacers, according to Naseem.

“The Kookaburra, on the other hand, is difficult to shine and it also goes bad pretty quickly. It doesn't swing or seem that much either. Duke Ball remains new for a while so this is good.”

The young fast bowler is touring England for the first time and the critics back home are predicting high-class performances from the duo of Naseem Shah and Shaheen Shah Afridi.

Naseem has already made history by becoming the youngest fast bowler in the history of Test match cricket to claim a five-wicket haul and a Test hat-trick.
