It is expected Pakistan Cricket Board will announce the squad for the three match T20I series against Bangladesh on January 16.

Some changes are anticipated for the series which starts on January 24th with some new players coming in. Asif Ali, Mohammad Irfan and Haris Sohail, who all played in Pakistan’s two-nil loss in T20I series Down Under are likely to be dropped.

The process for the selection is underway with head coach-cum-chief selector Misbah ul Haq having discussions with the T20I captain Babar Azam, after which Misbah will meet with six other selectors to finalize the squad.

According to the reports, former captain Sarfaraz Ahmed is likely to be recalled for the series after impressing in the fitness tests.

Fast Bowler Shaheen Afridi, who missed the series in Australia as he was recovering is expected to find his way back in the squad. Haris Rauf, who has been in dazzling form in the Big Bash league is also likely to be called in for his maiden call-up.

Pakistan’s bowling coach is highly impressed with Haris Rauf’s form and recently hinted on the 26-years old inclusion in the national team.
