Mickey Arthur took a sly dig at the Men in Green ahead of the two-match test series starting on December 11 at the Pindi Cricket Stadium.

Arthur, who coached Pakistan from 2016 to 2019, is expected to be in the dugout during the first test but this team as the head coach of the opponents.

“I will see you very soon and tell those [Pakistan] batsmen to get their front pads out of the way,” Arthur pulling a leg of the Pakistan team while speaking to Pakistan Test captain Azhar Ali, during a television show, after the conclusion of the day-night Test between Pakistan and Australia in Adelaide on Monday.

Pakistan lost both test matches against the hosts by an innings and ended up on the wrong side of the history as they set an embarrassing record of most consecutive defeats in a single country, now 14 in Australia.

Former head coach of Pakistan, Mickey Arthur was due to coach New Zealand side Central Districts for a short term T20 stint but has been released from his duties since he was linked with a vacant Sri Lanka’s head coach position. It is highly anticipated that Mickey will be the new head coach of the Sri Lankan team and will start his tenure with a series against his former team.

The First test starts December 11 at Pindi Cricket Stadium, while the second test starts on December 19 at National Stadium Karachi in what is going to be jubilant news for Pakistan Cricket fans to see the return of longer format after 10 years since that horrific terror attack on Sri Lankan Cricket Team in 2009.
